Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and deliver complex civil construction and site development projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be a skilled leader who can manage multiple projects, coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain client relationships, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This is a hands-on role requiring strong construction knowledge, organizational expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of multiple civil construction projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate and manage project teams, including foremen, superintendents, subcontractors, and office staff.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and client expectations.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, quality control, and regulatory requirements across all projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, serving as the primary point of contact for project communications.
- Prepare project reports, progress updates, and documentation for leadership and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior project managers and support continuous improvement in project management processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience in civil construction or site development.
- Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, utilities, paving, stormwater systems, and related civil construction practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage field and office teams.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience in successful project delivery is highly valued.
