Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations and support project teams across all phases of civil construction projects. This role requires a strong leader with a hands-on understanding of construction processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to drive efficiency, safety, and quality across multiple projects. The Operations Manager will serve as a key point of connection between leadership, project managers, crews, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate daily operations across multiple construction projects, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Oversee project teams, including foremen, superintendents, and field staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identifying challenges, and implementing solutions to maintain efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements on all job sites.
- Collaborate with leadership, estimating, and project management teams to support planning, resource allocation, and execution of projects.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project operations and communication.
- Analyze operational processes and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce costs, and strengthen overall performance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of operations or project management experience in civil construction or site development.
- Strong understanding of excavation, grading, utilities, paving, and related civil construction processes.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor field crews.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, but experience and results are highly valued.
