As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to keep our fleet running at peak performance.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our fleet of construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and more. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong mechanical knowledge, experience working with hydraulic and diesel systems, and the ability to perform both scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Inspect equipment for wear and damage, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Work in the field and at the shop, responding to on-site equipment breakdowns as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure all repairs meet company and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Must have own basic tools (specialty tools provided).
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
